Ca Care Association recognizes these risks and the effects of wildfires in California, hence why we are conducting free online Wildfire Preparedness Training for everyone. A business mixer, investment, and tax briefing event was held in the Sierra Room of the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts last April 19, 2024. The event’s purpose was to encourage business owners and organizations to invest in the Philippines now. Many dignitaries, community leaders, and business owners attended, and the Philippine consulate general of Los Angeles was also present.

Disney Kababayan, an organization under SoCal Filipinos hosted another successful Filipino Weekend at Disneyland Resort, Anaheim, California. The weekend-long event spanned from April 19 to April 21, 2024,. The purpose of the event was to gather Filipino-Americans in California and enjoy a great weekend with the community through activities in Disneyland.

Ca Care Association is set to meet with the Philippine Consulate General of Los Angeles on January 17, 2024, at 2:00 pm. This meeting will take place at the Philippine Consulate General office in LA. The meeting will focus on collaborating for the upcoming Mayfest event and Flores de Mayo that will both happen on May 19, 2024.

Ca Care Association in partnership with Listos California recently had a GO BAG preparedness workshop in Carson Community Center last January 12, 2024. This training is aimed at teaching the community about emergency preparedness by educating them about the importance of a go bag and how to ready their own. The event was led by Nadia Wiggins from Listos California who shared professional insights about go bags and the essentials needs of everyone in case of emergencies. 

Ca Care Association, in partnership with the City of Carson, is pleased to announce a series of Emergency Preparedness Training sessions. These crucial trainings are scheduled to be done throughout the year 2024. The training will be separated into four parts tackling preparedness to different natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, wild fires, and extreme heat.
