Ca Care Opens Nomination for Caregiver Hero in the Community Award
Los Angeles, California - Ca Care Association - Ca Care Association, a 501(c)(3) organization working with home and community-based care providers, is opening nominations for the Caregiver Hero in the Community Award. Nominations are now open for three categories: Caregivers, Residential Care Facility, and Caregiver Advocate.
The Caregiver Hero in the Community Award recognizes the role of caregiving in the community.
1. Caregivers
Nominees for this category can be an individual family or professional caregiver providing direct support. Caregivers promote independence, ensure the dignity of the care recipient, and provide emotional support.
2. Residential Care Facility
Facilities that go above and beyond in patient dignity and environment. Through residential care facilities, care recipients receive the safety, security, and supervision they need.
3. Caregiver Advocate
Groups or individuals fighting for policy change, resources, and awareness. Caregiver advocates become the voice of the caregivers and care recipients to ensure they have access to an efficient healthcare system.
Recognizing the role of caregivers, residential care facilities, and caregiver advocates is essential to acknowledging the crucial role they have in the community. They promote the overall health and well-being of a care recipient by ensuring that each individual receives the care they deserve and need. Recognition also serves as an avenue to raise awareness of the difficulties that care providers experience and to better develop resources available to them.
