Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED (Individual)
from $70.00

Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED training is one of our most popular courses. This course trains care providers with little or no medical training to provide first aid, CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.

This course is offered in two training formats:

Classroom Format: Instructor-led, hands-on class format conducted in your office or home to reinforce skills proficiency. This course is video-based and teaches the skills critical to assess, manage and respond to an emergency until EMS gets arrives. The practice-while-watching technique allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Blended Learning Format: Combines online and hands-on training in an optimal format to teach participants first aid, CPR, and AED skills. This approach enables students who are not able to attend traditional classroom training to learn the course at their own pace, while also providing more flexibility in scheduling hands-on training with their instructor. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with one of our American Heart Association certified instructors.

For Certification Renewal: A renewal course is designed for those whose certification is still valid but near expiration. It allows you to refresh your memory, renew your skills and stay up-to-date on scientific-based life-saving techniques. It is shorter than a standard initial certification class. A participant will be required to present an existing certification card to be able to register for a renewal class.

Duration: Initial certification - 3 hours / Renewal - 1 hour

Upon successful completion of the course, students receive an American Heart Association course completion card, valid for two years.
